Help CenterFrequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our courses, enrollment and getting licensed in Florida.
Getting started
What do I need to get a Florida real estate sales associate license?
You must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and have a U.S. Social Security number. From there you complete the 63-hour pre-license course, submit your state application and fingerprints, and pass the Florida state exam.
Do I need any real estate experience?
No. The 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-License course is designed for beginners and starts from the fundamentals.
Live Online
What is included in the $499 Live Online course?
Live instructor-led training, the course eBook, the Pathway study guide, audio summaries, guidance with your Florida license application, fingerprinting and state exam registration, and your in-person end-of-course examination.
What is the difference between Live Online and Self-Paced?
Live Online classes meet on a set schedule with a live instructor you can ask questions in real time. Self-paced courses let you study whenever you like through our online learning portal, powered by Dearborn. Both satisfy the state education requirement.
Do you offer daytime and evening classes?
Yes. Live Online classes are offered in both daytime and evening schedules so you can train around work and family. See the upcoming class dates on the Live Online page.
Is the end-of-course exam taken online?
No — for the Live Online course, the end-of-course examination is taken in person. You will receive exam details once you are enrolled.
Will you help me with the state application and exam?
Yes. Pathway guides you through the Florida license application, electronic fingerprinting and registering for the state exam, so you always know your next step.
Self-Paced
How do I access my self-paced course after purchase?
You will receive a purchase confirmation and course-access instructions by email. You then create your username and password for the online learning portal and can sign in any time using the Student Login link on this site.
Who do I contact for technical help with a self-paced course?
The self-paced learning portal is hosted and supported by Dearborn. Their support team handles technical and portal-related issues. For questions about choosing a course, contact Pathway.
After the course
What happens after I pass the state exam?
You activate your license under a licensed Florida broker and can begin practising. Sales associates must then complete 45 hours of post-license education before their first license renewal.
